THOMAS CRANE "The Freddie Mercury Show"

There are not too many performers that could attempt to re-create that distinctive voice that fashioned so many changes in the technology of production that Freddie Mercury and Queen achieved from the 70's through to the 90's. Tom Crane is one of the few and presents a performance of Queen classics that will leave you gasping at his wonderful interpretation of the great man. John is best described as a "Jack the Lad" in the given fun side of his personality and his light hearted look on life, a little like Rod himself. Tom Jennis has performed in Perth for many years with a number of successful acts such as The Beat and The Acoustic Gentleman.
Many people have commented on his resemblance to Cliff Richard and his ability to mimic other artist such as Paul Macartney.
Tom has given Cliff the treatment and attention to detail and the result is staggering. His performance will leave you believing you've seen Cliff, the show features theatrical lighting, high quality backing and an acoustic medley with audience participation.

Abba set the mood for the glamour of the 70's and in Australia they achieved their biggest success. Jaye & Karina are without doubt 2 of Perth's most talented and experienced female vocalists. Karina can be seen performing Celine Dion and Jaye performs Cher and Marilyn Monroe to perfection. The Abbacadabra show runs as a 45 minute floorshow and can also incorporate Benny and Bjorn on request. Using a little imagination we can combine an incredible night with a tribute to the "Queens of Pop" incorporating Kylie and Tina Turner or any combination that takes your fancy. BLUES BROTHERS REVUE

Jake and Elwood up to their old tricks again, these guy's are sure to create havoc if you like Country & Western cause it's Rhythm & Blues with all the classics we love to hear. You'll be "Shakin a tail feather" when they hit the stage for an irrepressible 45 minutes of comedy dancing and fun. The show can be formatted to add a 6 piece band for a complete night's entertainment as The Australian Blues Brothers Show.

ROY ORBISON (Jay Weston)

Jay is a classically trained vocalist who performs with ease the songs we have come to recognize as being simply timeless. Crying, Only the Lonely and Pretty Woman to name a few. His tone is perfect and if you closed your eyes you would believe the Big O' was there. Performances are 30 minutes to 45 minutes and can be combined with 2 or 3 of your favorite tributes to create a great night of nostalgia.

Show Formats & Information

* What makes a tribute night work?
Well indeed it only works if the tributes are of a high quality and the combinations are right, would you put Frank Sinatra with Freddie Mercury? I think not. We generally put 3 to 4 acts together to make a night. Tributes will cover a 3 hour period with breaks between acts and most evening performances start at 9.00pm thru to Midnight.

* What happens prior to the show and between breaks?
We provide very well thought out CD music to build the night, when guests arrive we believe there is a time frame required to greet meet and eat. During this time as an example we could expect to hear a little Chris Rea, Sade, Dire Straits with a build up in volume and pace as we get closer to showtime. To contribute to this we would also expect the room lighting to dim just prior to the performance for the anticipation factor to set in.

* How does a show work with no band on stage?
We have a tried and tested formula and have battled long and hard to convince clients that this is not an issue and now have a very healthy track record. Our shows have very creative lighting and production to give guests a concert style atmosphere. This lighting is known as an intelligent light show or moving lights, to add impact we provide a follow spot as all tribute performers are very interactive with guests and encourage audience participation and dancing, it's not a sit down concert, it's party time!!. Some national & international clients require a live band and this can be arranged.

* Will they get up and dance?
Your guests will be dancing and singing all night long. Our shows are formatted so that the tribute acts only perform the classic hits and not the songs you've never heard before.

*What are the requirements to put on a tribute night?
All tribute acts require a change area close to stage and indeed a stage. Stage sizes should be a minimum of 5 metres x 3 metres x 600mm. If there is no change area close to stage our production team will often use hanging blacks to cordon off. A full length mirror is always a bonus as acts can ensure they look their very best. Power supply can be an issue and it is preferred that you have 32 amp 3 phase power outlet to allow us to engage the complete light show and concert sound, however the show can run on 10amp power.

* How do we promote our event?
We provide you with colourful Posters and email you A5 flyers with all your required details.

* What if I only want 1 or 2 tributes?
For private parties and birthdays we often provide our specialised DJ's who have the appropriate equipment as in mixing console,lighting effects and radio mic. We almost always bring in the tribute act as a surprise floorshow for the unsuspecting birthday person. Floorshows usually perform for 30 minutes to add high impact and make the event special.

* Costume Changes
All performers have 2 - 3 changes during a performance which can involve a 1 - 2 minute turnaround, for example Freddie Mercury will leave the stage to change with the guests all singing "We Will Rock You" which has been recorded to loop, Cher would leave the guests singing "I Got you Babe", the list goes on.

* Private Club Functions
The growing list of sporting and social clubs that have had our shows is well documented and the recipe is successful with clubs making good profits from ticket and bar sales. Many Clubs package these events as "Light supper and Show " or "Dinner Show"

* Corporate Events
"A Night with the Stars" or "Legends in Concert" are very powerful themes that excite guests and gives you broad based options unlike many other themes that have limitations, our formulas have proven the most succesful.
